Resolutions? You betchya!! First I’ll give you mine, then I’ll laugh at you with crazy zeal, and then I’ll give you some suggestions.
Here are Davlin’s Goals for the New Year.
- Get Engineering to 450
- Get Chopper Schematic
- *drool* Nesingwary 4000
- Epic Flying would be nice
- Truesight Ice Blinders are something I need to build for myself
- Level Jaffa and Bubba to 80.
- Get a moth.
- Upgrade Upgrade Upgrade
- Break 100 blog views a day!
- Convince Blizzard that the title “Hunter of Nesingwary” will make everyone love Achievements.(ie: Davlin Of Nesingwary)
I suggest everyone start throwing their resolutions around the area of reputation. I mean, come on…dude…Drakes…guns….rings of Kirin Tor (Just another Hearthstone). That’s my suggestion. Get exalted with everyone.

Davlin puts thumb on trigger while currently having just barely above 5% health. “BAM!” He says for effect.

Davling pushes the thumb plunger.
Davlin goes up in a ball of flame and flying body parts.

That was absolutely hilarious – and so you! I still need the triage achievement, so let’s try it again (maybe with 10% health this time) – LOL
So, my resolution for this year is to pick on Davlin less……… Nah, that wouldn’t be fun for anyone!

Heh. Exploding dwarves always makes me chuckle.
I actually managed to get Triage in the middle of a heroic – boss turned and smacked me pretty hard, leaving me with about 400 health; I hit a bandage (my Gift of the Naaru and Enraged Regeneration were on cooldown because of AE damage), and saw the flash and the popup. What’s funny is that it was a reaction to the damage, not because I was actively trying to get the achievement.
The chopper schematic is a cool concept, but have you seen how much the vendor-bought parts cost? 13k worth of materials that *can’t* be created by players is just shy of insane; all told, the thing comes to about the same cost as a traveler’s tundra mammoth, can’t carry as many people, and doesn’t have vendors. Seems a little bit too pricey for my blood.
I’ve enjoyed the blog so far, Davlin.

Yeah, the chopper’s insanely priced. I figure with the ease of getting gold in Northrend the Blizz guys think they should up prices, but its even more ridiculous on top of the fact that its a rep reward. Even the travel mammoth is just pricey, not rep. That on top of the lack of drop schematics says to me they’re kicking engineers in the teeth.
